A Note from Ken Moench

Moench Method Bodywork is not the place to go for a typical massage. The goal is to get people out of pain in as few visits as possible. The average number of client visits was 2.5 in 2023.
With a technique developed over the past 30 years, I’ve trained our therapists to find and address the root cause of people’s pain and discomfort. For many, we’re their last hope. They’ve been through medications, surgeries, physical therapy, and everything in between with little to no relief. All of our therapists are licensed massage therapists, and they have chosen to work with us because they have the drive to help people! Many of them were past clients that experienced how life changing the work was for them. Others heard about us by word of mouth and stopped in to see if we lived up to what they’d heard.
In the early days, when I worked by myself, I stayed busy all the time and my clients were nearly 100% referral-based. Even though this company has now grown to 4 locations and over 20 therapists, we are still, very much, a referral-based business. Taking a leap of faith last year, we hired a “fancy” marketing company. The hope was that it would pull in clients that may not have heard about us otherwise. One of their first suggestions was to double our rates, which we vehemently opposed. Only being able to work on people that can afford to come to us means only helping those with solid bank accounts. That marketing company is no longer working for us. We’ve kept our rates low for a reason. We never want to price anyone out of getting help! When clients come back and tell us that they’re off pain meds, or avoided surgery, or have been pain-free for the first time in years… it’s the reason we do what we do.
